River Trout Fishing Chile was founded in 2014 and comes from a deep family tradition connected to fishing in southern Chile. Founder Marcos Quiroz grew up learning beside his father, Nelson Quiroz, one of the pioneering fishing guides in the Los Lagos Region.

At 67 years old and with more than 48 guiding seasons, Nelson is one of the longest-standing active guides in the area. His life has been devoted to the river and to passing this craft on, and that family legacy became the starting point for a premium guided operation.

Today River Trout Fishing Chile operates with a professional bilingual local guide team led by Marcos Quiroz, keeping the same service standard, local knowledge and attention to detail on every trip.
